Simply good food and drink. In our kitchen we rely on high-quality ingredients from the Murau region — entirely in keeping with our convictions. Let the special charm of traditional Styrian home cooking tempt you, and enjoy one of our eight Murauer beers with it, freshly tapped of course. Alongside genuine brewing craft and down-to-earth specialities, we also serve our popular homemade burgers and tender steaks. Head chef Thomas Lankmaier’s menu is guaranteed to suit your taste.

In the rustic Bierstüberl, our traditional beer parlour, you can order the Murauer beer specialities freshly from the barrel — eight different varieties are on offer. Enjoy a Sky Sport broadcast with friends in a sociable beer mood, with a steak or burger dish alongside: that is living, that is pleasure. Around 50 different rum specialities are waiting for you as well.
As the flagship house of Murau Brewery, we serve Murauer beer straight from the neighbourhood: the brewery is right next door on Raffaltplatz.

Sit comfortably together, relax and forget the everyday: our beer garden in the inner courtyard is a real gem and has room for 120 guests.
Enjoy our cool, freshly tapped beer or treat yourself to our ice cream specialities. Whether with family or friends, everyone will find a spot to their liking here! There is also plenty of room for the little ones to run around.
Extra service for bikers: you can store your bicycle or motorcycle conveniently and free of charge in our underground car park.

Rooms for every occasion.
Brauhaus zu Murau is the right place for weddings, birthdays, family and company celebrations. The variety of room layouts offers space for smaller groups of 4 to 25 people, 25 to 75 people and 75 to 150 people. The total capacity of the house is up to 300 seats. Our strengths also lie in running large events, seminars and banquets, as well as in serving larger groups quickly.

Opening hours
Restaurant Monday to Sunday 10:00–23:00 (hot food served 11:30–21:00 every day). Closed for holidays from 26 October 2026 to 2 November 2026. The hotel and the restaurant are closed during this time.
